Beginners Marketing – Make Time Count

Most beginners marketing have some serious time constraints. Mothers taking care of children, sometimes fathers, college students, the regular worker juggling a full time underpaying job with side work to make ends meet and even the unemployed consumed by job searching activities and the anxieties associated with insecurity. These and other necessary obligations consume the bulk of their time and all they are trying to do is survive. Do you find yourself in a similar situation?

If you are one of the many beginners marketing online in an effort to change your finical circumstances than time has become one of your most valuable commodities. Because you need to progress as fast as possible to improve your circumstances and also make things better for those around you it is important to you to be able to use what time you have for your affiliate marketing efforts wisely. As a beginner marketing, you need to make time count!

Beginners marketing at home are having to balance two things, learning and earning. Since this a new venture to you there is a need to increase your knowledge, especially of the basics of Internet marketing but also you need to see results as soon as possible for the obvious reasons but also to know that your efforts are not in vain. So here is a couple of ideas for you to consider that are working for me and should also assist you.

Enroll in an affiliate marketing university. This may seem at first glance to be just another financial burden and I know you don’t need another one of those, but you really can’t afford not to. Here is why. Everything you need to earn while you learn will be in one place. Instruction, coaching, tools, affiliate programs, services and products not to mention the support from the community inside the marketing university. The later, in my opinion is the most important. Interacting with others with the same goals is very helpful.

I am not going to tell you what affiliate school to join. That is a decision you will have to make yourself. It will be a fairly easy choice to make if you take some time to do some research. You may have found this article looking for one and if so you are closer than you think. I belong to three and all three are very good and I like them for various reasons but the point is you will need to start somewhere if you are to be one of the beginners marketing that make your time count.

Once you enroll be sure to focus on the instruction given. One I belong to has an 8 week action plan for all new members to take, it is perfect for beginners marketing with little extra time. A set of lessons and actions to take each and every week. Be sure not to get distracted and stick to what you start. You will be amazed at the progress you make and again you will be making time count!

I mentioned earlier that I belong to three affiliate courses and you might be thinking where is all the money coming from to pay the tuitions? Believe me I don’t have much and of course I didn’t join all three at the same time, here is what I did to get my all affiliate education FREE!

As a beginner marketing it is important for you to realize how easy this is to do. Enroll in an affiliate university that has an affiliate program for the actual membership. Most of them do. Then the very first campaign you start, promote their membership. You will have your membership covered by the third sign up! I have done this with three different programs and I am even making a little extra each month. If I can, so can you!

With the monthly membership no longer an issue you can concentrate on learning and earning without worrying about how much this is going to cost you. And since you are now getting expert direction for free you are now one of the few marketing beginners making your time count!

Why Are Beginners Marketing the Hard Way?

What is wrong with people? Why do some people have to do things the hard way. Do they want to be martyrs or is it just ignorance? When it comes to beginners marketing online they have legitimate reasons for doing things the hard way. First they find themselves in unfamiliar territory. The affiliate marketing business is like no other. It is convenient and can be worked from home. It takes almost no investment because most have access to a computer with an Internet connection and they are suffering from information overload. All of this creates the illusion that this is going to be easy and fun.

At first it is. Just like anything new it is exciting and this euphoria stimulates the beginners marketing to gobble up any and all get rich quick plans to the demise of their wallets. Once the honeymoon is over they are left with trying to juggle all their disorganized plans and programs not to mention a hodge podge of poorly built landing pages and websites that haven’t even make a dime!

As a beginner marketing online this was true of me. I remember I named my first domain after the motorcycle I ride when the site had nothing to do with motorcycles. I just didn’t know any better. This and a bunch of other mistakes started to weigh heavy on my pocketbook and my morale when I realized that after eight months I still hadn’t seen any results for my hard work.

At this point I was getting desperate and ready to quit, just like 90% of the other beginners marketing out there at any given time. Then a couple of things happened to me quite by accident. First I ran across a couple of quality online affiliate courses and for some reason make the decision to join them. Desperation I guess because I have always despised anything to do with organized education. To restrictive if you know what I mean.

The second is one simple technique I learned at one of these affiliate schools that turned my beginners marketing career around and opened my mind to many other possibilities. I will explain that in just a second. If you find yourself to be one of the many beginners marketing with little to no results then I dedicate this article to you my friend. So here goes.

First you need to educate yourself, you need to invest in your knowledge of the basics. A good foundation is need for any and all beginners marketing to prepare for advanced growth later. I can’t emphasize this fact enough. I recommend that you enroll in an affiliate school or university. There are several great ones out there. I know, you are worried about the cost, but can you afford to continue as you are? And I am going to tell you how I covered my cost and belong to not one but three affiliate schools for FREE!

The advantages that beginners marketing online gain from enrolling in an affiliate marketing university would take several of these articles to divulge so instead I am going to explain just one simple method I learned from one to see if I can dazzle you… LOL… not really, but this was a turning point for me.

Every Guru get rich quick scheme I read at some point depended on Goggle Adwords to make you rich and I am sure it is possible but not for marketing beginners with little money to invest. And almost all these self made millionaires tout the construction of websites and landing pages since they say direct linking is dead because Google doesn’t allow affiliate links any more. Here is what they don’t tell you because it won’t make them any money.

You can promote any affiliate product without any website, landing pages, hosting expense and all the headaches associated with them and even use Google Adwords if you like using this Newbie Jump Start method….drumroll…LOL

Register a domain. One that uses the affiliate products name. For example: If promoting AffiliateUniversity.com you could register GetAffiliateUniversity.com, JoinAffiliateUniversity.com or even BuyAffiliateUnoversity.com. Understand? Then have that domain forwarded (this is free) to your affiliate link. Wala! Now 100% of your clicks will be directed to your affiliate products sales page.

Here is a little known fact. Most merchant’s spend thousands on research, development and testing to get their sales pages to be high converting power houses. They also get all their visitors on their mailing list and if the visitor purchases later you still get your commission. Why you have the merchant doing all the work for you… will almost… but do you see the benefits to you when using this Newbie Jump Start method? This is not all the details and benefits using this method but it is the Readers Digest version so you can see the potential.

So if you are one of the beginners marketing under duress than please, seriously consider enrolling in an affiliate university and if you use the above technique on their affiliate program to get more members you can have your monthly enrollment covered by the third sale! See you there.

Immediate Results For Beginners Marketing at Home

Most beginners marketing at home never see any lasting results let alone any money. I am going to point out a way for you as a marketing beginner to use a single simple technique that will bring you in some bank and also free up you working time so you can spend more time on learning more advanced techniques and get past the beginners marketing learning curve that can be very steep for most.

You will not need a website or landing page, no hosting fees, need any website building waffleware, fancy ad copy or any ad copy writing skills or auto responder. Yes these are all things you will need to eventually learn but while you are learning you can make a little bank using this way cool simple technique.

This method will work for almost any affiliate program network but most beginners marketing online usually start out with the Clickbank network of publishers. The reason for this besides their reliability is the fact that most products offered pay out a 50% or higher commission. Oh and I almost forgot, they cut checks every other Wednesday. If you don’t have an account there you need to get one, they are free.

After you have opened an account pick a product to promote from the Clickbank marketplace. Then get you affiliate hoplink and save it to a text file. Then you will need to register a WAY COOL DOMAIN. This is what I mean.

Let us say you pick a product called BeginnersMarketing.com then you will want to register a similar domain that people will remember like GetBeginnersMarketing.com or BuyBeginnersMarketing.com. See the common sense behind this? Once you own your WAY COOL DOMAIN then you will want to have it forwarded to your affiliate hoplink from Clickbank. This is a free service provided by registrars. Do not purchase any thing else because no hosting or any other bells and whistles are needed.

At this stage your domain is parked. You own it but it is not doing anything except waiting for you to let it out of the garage so it can deliver your customers to the merchant’s sale pages. Here is the next step.

Log on to your account where you purchased your domain an go to you domain manager. You should see your WAY COOL DOMAIN listed. Now have that FORWARDED to your affiliate hoplink from Clickbank, the one you saved t a text file… remember? Some domain companies refer to this service as redirecting. And again it is free so your only expense so far is buying the domain. This takes about 48 hours to take effect but now anyone who types in your WAY COOL DOMAIN in their browser or click your links will end up, in the wink of an eye, at you merchant’s sales pages.

This is absolutely cool when you stop to think about it. Most merchant’s spend thousands of dollars in research and development getting their sales pages to be high converting power houses. Now you are sending 100% of your clicks to these high converting sales pages. Nobody is left behind at a poorly designed landing or presell page. Now this is the basics of a method called the Newbie Jump Start technique I learned at a affiliate marketing membership course I have belonged to for a while. There is more to this technique that makes the merchant’s page have your name in the browser address bar and title tab. Also some very interesting tracking methods can be added. A little more than I can include in this article.

The point I am trying to make is that beginners marketing at home can see immediate results if they have the proper direction. I have just explained one simple method of dozens that are taught at an online school for affiliate marketing beginners to make quick money to finance more complicated techniques or just to pay off some pressing bills. I would like to encourage you to take advantage of the tools and resources available and enroll in one as soon as possible.

P.S. The above method can be used by beginners marketing to pay for their tuitions so the learning is absolutely free!

Will Beginners Marketing Ever Learn?

Every where I look I see beginners marketing pulling out their hair trying to learn a seemingly easy profession of affiliate marketing. Working hard and getting nowhere is what is normal for this career, at least when starting out. Well I did exactly the same thing and not for just a short time either – almost a year! Sad to say, I speak from experience, the school of hard knocks! But I am here to tell you that things have changed for the better. Not getting rich – yet, but I am making some bank plus I am able to save you some serious time and heartache.

What turned things around? I’m not sure I could single out the exact event but I do know that a couple of things happened about the same time to change my thinking indefinitely for the better. First I decided that if I was ever going to make any bank as a marketing beginner I was going to have to stop treating it like a hobby and instead treat it like a business. Get serious, stop jumping around and focus on one thing at a time. Learn and then implement, rinse and repeat until I got it right.

The second thing many marketing beginners forget was I started scheduling my time and planed what work I was going to do ahead of time. Plan my work then work my plan was my new motto. I even kept and still keep a daily journal of may activities, goals and accomplishments. It is a great motivator to look back and see how far you have come, and where you know you are headed because you have set things in motion that will benefit you in the near future.

I started investing in myself. I don’t mean I bought more get rich plans and schemes but I invested in my knowledge base by joining an online affiliate marketing university. And I might ad, not just any university but one that has everything I need to not only jump start my marketing beginners career but also provide me will all the direction, tools, support and products necessary to be successful.

Here is the first thing I learned that not only got me my first $100 day but has allowed me to make consistent money every week since I implemented it. It is sort of direct linking on steroids. I use a registered domain and forward it to my affiliate link. No hosting fees, no landing page and no headaches and 100% of my traffic reaches my merchant’s high converting sales page. It even works in Google Adwords and they don’t allow affiliate links!

There is a little more details to this Newbie Jump Start method that I can’t include in this article but the point is that it really turned things around for me. Now I have more time to devote to learning and implementing new techniques and skills. Something easy that I don’t think I would have learned in any get rich quick plan since most of them teach that to make money you need to spend lots of money on Google Adwords and scrap your affiliate links for landing pages and then make a different one for each Adwords group. I don’t think so… I’m a marketing beginner, remember?

If you don’t get anything else out of this article just remember this… the fact that you have read this far shows that you have what it takes to be a one of the successful beginners marketing online, perseverance. It takes a stick to it attitude and the courage to make a mistake once in a while. If you can’t make a mistake you can’t make anything. Learn from them and improve the next time. When starting out be sure to use all the free methods of promoting and at least your errors won’t cost any money. Apply yourself and never give up! In just a short time the beginners marketing curve will be long behind you. Good success to you.

Beginners Marketing the First Months

In these hard economic times more than ever before people from all walks of life are turning to the Internet to earn a little extra money to supplement their incomes. Most beginners marketing the first months wind up pulling their hair out. It is a completely new experience and doesn’t really compare to any thing you may have done in the past. A lot of those marketing beginners will spend their first year jumping from one program to the next as if they are searching for the holy grail of marketing plans.

If you are one of the beginners marketing under the above circumstances I have good news for you. It won’t always be that way. All you will need to break the beginners marketing cycle is to get some proper direction. I’m not talking about some get rich scheme or some self proclaimed .Guru’s costly marketing seminar but just getting the basics down and getting them down right the first time. Then taking those skills and slowly building on them, improving your skills and techniques and even earning some money along the way.

You will need to schedule and set aside some time on a weekly basis to not only learn but also implement what you learn. 5 to 10 hours of dedicated time each week and you will soon see results. Then each month your results will continue to grow into a thriving online business. For many beginners marketing this is easy at first but then they quickly lose ambition and are sidetracked into other interest. You will need to stick to the schedule. It takes a little bit for your efforts to reach a critical mass and bank to be made.

With pretty much anything in life, progress is much faster if we receive direction from someone who has done it before. Hopefully someone who knows what they are doing. That also applies to marketing beginners like yourself. Expert direction is a must. Where do you find it? The same place you are marketing – the Internet!

It is a wise choice to enroll in an affiliate university. One that caters to marketing beginners but also teaches advanced techniques for the progressive student. That would be you… right? I remember when I joined my first online course, I said to myself – What took me so long? – Everything I need was in one place, no more hunting for the scattered information and tools all over the Internet any more!

If you are worried about the monthly expense, here is a tip from someone who knows. No doubt the membership site you join will have an affiliate program for the membership. Promote that with the skills you will be learning. Your third commission will pay for your monthly membership fee and after that any more sign ups are – CHA-CHING – money in your pocket!

I belong to three membership sites and have all my membership paid for and make a couple of hundred bucks to boot! I use a real cool technique I learned at one of these schools which is a form of direct linking on steroids. It is almost free to implement and it pays for all my tuitions.

I nickname it the Newbie Jump Start method and use it on four different campaigns with great success. Us beginners marketing online need all the help we can get. We need to stick together also. Hope to see soon!

Critical Techniques To Successful Sales Lead Generation, Using Google Optimization

Some website owners are more frustrated about Google optimization than for other search engines. They feel it is harder to perform search engine optimization for Google.

Whether you are making direct sales from your website or sales lead generation (or both), optimizing for Google doesn’t need to be that hard.

In fact, in time you may find it easier to perform SEO for Google than for other search engines.

Remember that Google is Much Smarter than the other Search Engines

Since Google is more intelligent, you have to treat them differently.

If you’re trying to spam them, their intelligence is going to be a problem for you. If you’re playing by the rules and providing valuable content for searchers, then you should have no problem.

What Google wants is valuable content that satisfies their users’ search queries. They want searchers to find what they’re looking for, not clicking the back button quickly, but who stay on the sites they visit.

There are some in the SEO community who believe time your visitors spent on your site is one of the calculations Google uses right now in their algorithm to assign organic rankings.

Whether this is the case or not is really irrelevant: we should all want to deliver quality content that meets our searchers query, keeps them on our sites and that leads to a conversion, a sale or sales lead generation.

Are You Optimizing for Yahoo! Search and Live Search, too?

With Yahoo! Search and Live Search (formerly MSN) you need to have the keyword phrase you optimize for on the page. There may be some exceptions, but this is a solid rule to follow.

The order of the keywords makes a difference with them, too.

As an example, with Google, Blue Widget and Widget Blue are treated the same way. Not so with Yahoo! and Live, they are treated as completely different search phrases.

Given the very high market share that Google has, you may want to just optimize for Google and not Yahoo! or Live. After all, depending on whose numbers you’re looking at, Google’s market share is basically 60% to 70% of all U.S. searches!

(And there are hundreds of other much smaller search engines, with such small market shares that they aren’t normally worth worrying about.)

But if you decide to also optimize for Yahoo! Search and for Live Search, then you will likely have to create more pages, to cover all your keyword phrases.

So, as you create more pages for your keywords, you clutter up the Internet, unless those pages are really unique, valuable content.

And then there is that duplicate content filter that Google has…you don’t want to run afoul of that.

If you do optimize for the other engines, unless the additional content is very unique, you might be advised to keep Google out of those pages (using your robots.txt file).

Knowing that Google is More Intelligent, How do We Optimize Differently for Google?

With Google’s use of LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing), your pages do NOT actually have to contain the keyword phrase(s) you’re optimizing for. But your pages had better contain words strongly related to your chosen keyword phrases.

In fact, it is common to see high ranking pages where the keyword phrase isn’t in any of the HTML tags and where it also isn’t in the page text, either. Common keyword density numbers for top ranking pages in Google range from 30% all the way down to 0% keyword density.

Why is this and how do we benefit performing Google optimization?

Google is smart enough to understand similar words and phrases (now is when we get to use that word Synonym from English class). Thus, the actual keyword phrase doesn’t have to be on the page. But words related to the same theme as your keyword phrases need to be on the page.

But if our keywords don’t actually have to be on the page for Google to understand the page is about our subject (our keyword phrases), how does Google make that determination?

Off-Page SEO is the Key to Your Google Optimization and to Your Sales Lead Generation

The links from other websites to your Web pages and what these links say about your pages is the KEY to optimizing for Google. Remember, links need to be pointed towards your interior pages, not just to your home page.

And those links need anchor text.

Anchor text is the wording that people click on to go to your Web page, when the actual link doesn’t show your website url (and file name, if going to an interior page).

Anchor text tells Google (and to a lesser degree, other search engines) what your Web page is about.

Even if the actual keyword phrases aren’t used on your page, the theme of the page text should match the anchor text pointed to that page. You want the wording to be compatible and complimentary.

You don’t want to confuse Google as to your pages’ themes. That can cause real problems.

Quantity Versus Quality

When considering links to your Web pages, quantity is important. You will have to research your competition to give you an idea as to the number of links you may need.

Two tools you can look into are SEO Elite and OptiLink. You can Google both.

But MUCH more important is the quality of your links. The better quality your links, the fewer you will need versus your competition.

Part of how you can evaluate quality of potential links to your site is that site’s home page Google Page Rank.

Now, Google Page Rank is on a page-basis, not a site-wide basis. But the home page Page Rank can tell you if Google considers that site to be an “authority site”.

You can install the free Google toolbar if you haven’t already and activate the Page Rank feature. While the information is literally months old, it’s the easiest way to view a page’s Page Rank.

You want some links to your site from websites with a home page Google Page Rank of at least 5.

One thing you do want to watch: Don’t have to high a percentage of your links containing the same anchor text. Aim for no more than 50% of your anchor text to any page being the same exact anchor text.

Wrapping it Up

For effective Google optimization, start by pointing enough quality links to your Web pages. One-way links are much more effective than reciprocal links, where you link back to the site that has linked to you.

Stay away from triangulated or 3-way links schemes. This is where site A links to site B which in turn links to site C. This is a “no-no” which Google can catch and will penalize for.

Use your keywords as anchor text for your links. Hold down the percentage…don’t have 70% of your links to one page using the same exact anchor text!

Even if you don’t have the keyword phrases on your page, you can still have top rankings, as long as your links’ theme matches your Web page content those links are aimed at.

Following this strategy, you can also optimize your pages for more than one keyword phrase. And without creating dozens and dozens of junk pages, just to cover all your keywords.

You’ll be able to increase your online sales and your sales lead generation, more easily.

I’ll be following up shortly with another article, with a specific checklist sharing how I structure my link campaigns for maximum results.

Social Media Defies a Fifteen-Minute Fame

The whole notion of Andy Warhol’s statement that everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes seems to be true in the 21st century. It plays out everyday on reality television shows as well as talk television, shows featuring judges and of course a variety of news magazine programs.

This obsession with popularity has expanded to the Internet. Today social media can offer the potential of fame in a new arena. You can sign up for multiple social media sites like Facebook and MySpace and then compliment the attention you might be receiving by adding Twitter. This last resource allows you to keep your adoring masses up to date with everything you feel like sharing.

“I’m going to the grocery store…”

“I’m going in to ask for a raise…”

“Just kidding…”

“I’m going to buy my kids new shoes…”

“It’s 12 degrees and I forgot my gloves…”

For whatever reason it seems that there are those who are interested in following your daily moves. That may sound like a perfect breeding ground for a stalker, but then again you can limit who can actually read your Twitter. You can also limit who can read your social media page. You don’t have to accept every friend invitation that comes along.

These social media sites have an incredible volume of online traffic and an impressive list of new signups on a daily basis. New applications are being designed all the time for these sites and users are addicted to the way these sites allow them to keep in contact with people they may have once known as well as new friends.

Social media can be a great place for Pay Per Click advertising. The blog or comment posts can result in the discovery of motivated buyers.

Yes, it’s true that there may be spammers who will ask you to be their friend and then load up your comment box with marketing links you don’t want, but the best way to deal with that is to simply remove them as friends and then delete their posts. Then, I suppose, you could become a bit more discriminating in whom you accept as friends.

People enjoy using these sites because they are free. They are only free because they are supported by advertising. Without the advertising there would be no way for the service to remain free of charge.

As long as there are people who want to connect with friends around the globe there will remain a place for social media. There will also be a sense of being important because we have friends who comment or post on our wall. We return the favor and new friends find us. We develop a highly personalized community where we get to choose who will be accepted. It may be the ultimate form of discrimination, but it creates the sense of safety we may need when engaging other ‘friends’ about our day or the things we are looking to accomplish.

Advertising will join us on the journey allowing our star status to remain strong, and our fifteen minutes of fame to be renewed on a daily basis.
