Why Cheap Web Hosting Can Also Be Quality Hosting

When you pay for a hosting service, you can either pay a lot or a little. We recommend buying from a cheap web hosting company. The reason being is that the actual quality of hosting lies in the customer service and performance of the hosting services. From our research, many of the cheap priced hosting services are high in quality. Therefore; we don’t see a reason to toss away money on high priced hosting services.

When you are trying to research and find a hosting company, you must do some research. We recommend that you try to call the hosting companies you are interested in to make sure they offer reliable support. Many hosting companies will offer great pricing, however the customer support may be unreliable or expensive.

The best way to research cheap web hosting services is to simply search the internet. Search for comparison host shopping and things of that nature. You should search for a company that has unparalleled reliability, this is because your web sites online presence is very important. If you are attempting to build a successful online business, you need a reliable solution that will be there to help. Reliability is achieved when hosting companies offer performance-guaranteed and redundant environments that help to off set potential issues that could arise.

The neat thing about web hosting services is that you can comparison shop from companies all over the United States since the services are offered through the world wide web. This allows you to find the best deal possible, at a great cheap rate.

One last tip is to research what additional features a hosting company will offer their customers. This helps you to get more out of your hosting, without having to pay third party vendors down the road.

If you have a large company that is expecting to have a lot of traffic, you may want to purchase a dedicated server or virtual private server to help improve performance during peak traffic times. This will allow you to sleep well at night knowing your hosting is going to allow peak performance. If you decide to go with a dedicated server, make sure that you focus on a managed solution if you don’t have the technical experience to manage a server on your own. This will save you a lot of headaches and stress. If you are just starting your web site from scratch, you are pretty safe starting with a shared web hosting plan. You can always update to a dedicated server at a later time when the need arises.

So in conclusion, do some research and try to shop around for bargains. Find a comparison shopping site to help ensure quality service.

Signage Design For Interactive Digital Displays

Signage design is critical to the success of digital advertising displays. The elements used in the sign depend in large part on the type of business you are running, but also on the intended goals of the signage.

For example, if you are selling trendy clothing to young consumers, your signs will likely focus on cutting-edge photography and “lifestyle” clips that show beautiful people doing exciting things while wearing your clothes. If you are a food retailer or general merchandiser, you will focus on the utility of your products and offer brightly lit images with graphics and text in bold colors.

Beyond the visuals, there are other elements of signage design that contribute to the effectiveness of your signs and the image they create of your business. We will discuss some of those here.

Inform and Entertain as You Market

Digital signage designers can tell you all about the balancing act between information, entertainment and marketing. While the purpose of digital signs is to market goods and services, they cannot be only about marketing.

People are advertised to all the time. Digital signs that simply repeat a business’ advertising will be quickly tuned out.

People are also technically savvy. Thanks to the Web, they know a lot about graphics and the types of content that digital signs can display. In digital signs they expect creativity and novelty, not more of the same old marketing messages they see everywhere else.

That is why digital signage design has to address the idea of going beyond mere marketing. Signs that inform and entertain while they market tend to be more attractive. This balance between marketing and informing can be achieved in a number of ways: partition the screen into discrete segments, with advertising and news; scroll headlines; display trivia or fun opinion polls; instruct viewers about how your products can be used.

Design Elements

Signage design also needs to factor in aesthetics and legibility. What does your choice of color say? What about your choice of font? Can your text and graphics be seen from a distance?

There are many online resources available to you about these important aspects of signage design. Browse through them or consult a digital signage company about the best choices for your company’s message and image.

Understand How People Will Use Your Signs

Will people be stopping to look at your display, say, in a grocery store to see a quick video about the nutritional benefits of your latest product? Will they be waiting longer periods, perhaps in a dental office or at a bank? Are they just rushing by and likely to catch only 5 or 10 seconds of video?

You must know the answer to these questions before you can design your signs. The length of your individual clips and video loops will be determined by how people interface with your signs.

Do Your Research, Consult the Experts

Signage design is serious business. Before you commit to anything, be sure you do some research into basic design principles for digital signs. Or, if need be, consult a digital signage design consultant for guidance and advice.

Is MLM As an Online Home Based Business Dead?

MLM and networking can present a spectacular opportunity, but in order to take advantage of this, participants must have an understanding of how to succeed in the business or home business world, and must comprehend the profit margins and the compensation plans of the business they are about to enter into. There is no simple answer as to whether MLM or network marketing will work for you, but the advent of the internet has changed the nature of MLM forever, and many are now saying, it’s days are numbered.

MLM does cut out the traditional middlemen, but replaces them with other middlemen called your up-line. And while traditional middlemen might add value, an up-line does not but still gets a percentage of every one of your sales. So to be really successful, you will need to build a massive down-line. This will take an enormous amount of your time and energy.

Product sales are a part source of income in most plans, especially for someone who has not yet built a large down-line. Down-line residuals are where the big long-term money comes from.

Simply sending out an email or putting a website up just does not work anymore. You need something a little more comprehensive than that. You need a proven strategy to compete in today’s online jungle

Companies which have traditionally sold through conventional distribution channels, are now using the power of networking to achieve spectacular results but not without considerable effort. Srikumar Rao, a student of Multi-Level Marketing Companies for over two decades agreed that, networking has an enormous power to create wealth.

It is this phenomenon which has attracted the attention of so many businesses ranging from small private companies to those in the Fortune 500 category, all seeking better marketing solutions and a greater profit share.

The theory behind Network marketing is strong. For example relational and word-of-mouth business building has always been one of the strongest ways to build business. MLM does work but it is certainly not a get-rich scheme so don’t be fooled by the sales talk that suggests easy or quick profits

Everyone in your down-line is normally able to earn you a commission but will need your help and support! After all, the more successful they are the more successful you will be. But this could run into hundreds of people if you are a good recruiter, and keeping all these people interested in the business, will take up a great deal of your time and energy.

Nowadays, many networkers are throwing in the towel on down-line building, and using a new concept called G.P.T to make more money than ever before. It is now believed by many, and not without good reason, that the internet has made traditional MLM obsolete. G.P.T on the other hand offers potentially lucrative profits in a much shorter time

Work at Home entrepreneurs with leading MLM companies are facing a constant struggle against cut-throat competition, ever-increasing advertising costs and a customer and distributor retention rate which has fallen to an average of less than 3 months.

One innovator adapting his then current business model to the G.P.T system had this to say following his more than considerable success.

“Everything is in place, an online business opportunity, turnkey marketing solutions, training and support. For 3 years I have been personally coaching and assisting people to become successful entrepreneurs in the home based business/direct sales industry and now I am taking it to a whole new level. 100 Millionaires by 2012”

You can forget about traditional MLM if you are serious about making a very good living and in a relatively short time. So why not fasten your seatbelt and get ready for a whole new world to open up in front of your very eyes.

How to Make Search Engines Happy in 3 Easy Steps

Does your web site make search engines happy? Despite all the negative hype lately, it’s pretty easy to design a web site that search engines will accept with open arms. All it takes is 3 easy steps:

1) Follow the Search Engine Guidelines

Nearly all search engines publish their own guidelines regarding the submission of sites, the type of sites they will accept and recommendations for optimized content. Google recently updated their Webmaster Guidelines which cover the most common forms of deceptive or manipulative search engine behavior that they consider to be “spam”. They also published SEO Guidelines - advice for webmasters to heed when choosing an SEO. Google was the first search engine to publicly acknowledge search engine optimizers in this fashion.

It’s not just Google publishing anti-spam guidelines. You’ll find them at the following search engine sites as well:

- MSN Search webmaster guidelines

- AltaVista terms of use (AltaVista is a Yahoo-owned company)

- Yahoo terms of service

- Yahoo guidelines on search engine spam (covering AltaVista and AllTheWeb as well)

- Yahoo definitions of search engine spam (covering AltaVista and AllTheWeb as well)

- Yahoo content guidelines

- AskJeeves / Teoma terms of service and spam policy

- AskJeeves / Teoma editorial guidelines

2) Avoid Spamming the Search Engines

Often, webmasters will use search engine spam techniques without even being aware that they are doing so. Or worse, web designers can - advertently or inadvertently - integrate techniques that could cause a site to be penalized in the site’s rankings in one or more engines, without the site owner’s knowledge of such penalties. The key to avoiding spamming the engines is research.
Keep track of the various search engine guidelines via the links above. Watch for any changes they make to these guidelines and tweak your site accordingly. Trawl the various webmaster and search engine forums regularly to ensure your site doesn’t use any of the latest methods that appear to be penalized. If you suspect your site has been penalized, remove the offending content, contact the engine concerned and ask to be reinstated.

Google actually encourage you to file a re-inclusion request via their Help Center and this post by Google staffer Matt Cutts outlines what should be included.

Alternatively, here is a sample email template you can use instead:

—————————————————-
Sample Re-inclusion Request Email:

Dear [search engine name],

I am the owner of [your site URL].

I did not realize that participation in [spammy method] and
[spammy SEO name] programs could cause problems for my website. I was
assured that these techniques were search-engine-friendly by [your source for using spammy method].

I now understand that the practices used are not acceptable. I apologize for having allowed them to be placed on my website. I’ve removed the questionable pages and links from the site. I promise not to repeat such mistakes.

I am asking you to please consider reinstating my website,
[your site URL] into the [search engine name] Index.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

To assist them to provide a high quality service, search engines encourage people to report search results they are dissatisfied with. If you spot some content spam or techniques that are clearly in breach of the search engine’s public guidelines, you can report it using these links:

- Google spam report or via search-quality@google.com

- AllTheWeb relevancy problem report (AllTheWeb is a Yahoo-owned company)

- AltaVista search results manipulation report (or via Yahoo’s spam report below)

- Yahoo spam report

- AskJeeves spam report or via information@ask.com

3) Build Sites for Visitors Rather than Search Engines

The methodologies may have changed over the years, but the same principles have always applied to “good” or “white hat” SEO. Build sites for humans, not search engines. Make the site as user friendly as possible, avoid the bells and whistles and include high quality, relevant content.

Wherever possible, include text-based content and navigation menus with simple, descriptive, well-written copy designed to convert your visitors into customers. Include keywords and phrases your audience would logically type in to search engines to find sites like yours. Only link to sites that are relevant to your target audience and spend some time on usability, making sure all your forms and shopping carts work.

Remember that what pleases a visitor is almost always what pleases a search engine too.

Organic Search Engine Optimization

The fabled tales of successfully tricking search engines into high rankings have given way to a new truth, to achieve decent consistent ranking you cannot engage in tricks but on focused optimization done in a professional ethical manner. According to search sources, with the latest Google update, there is no longer an even playing field when it comes to search placement. The new Google ranking system gives an advantage to large, established businesses that have achieved brand recognition. Does this mean small businesses should give up on the Web as a marketing model? No, of course not, they simply must develop quality content. To increase your natural ranking (search engine rankings that are not paid for) you must:

Write Good Text Copy.

The website copy should contain relevant text. Websites that use text rather than large images will load faster and the search engines can easily spider the text of the website for themes and keywords. Search engines cannot discern the meaning of words and phrases that are presented as an image. If you do use an image, be sure to include a brief phrase or keyword as an ALT tag. The ALT tags help website visitors who are visually impaired. ALT tags also convey the meaning of the image to search engines.

Research Keyword Phrases.

Using terms and phrases that relate to your product or service is critical. It is important to use terms that potential customers would use when searching for your product or service. Often products can be described by a number of terms, for example soda, tonic and pop all identify soft drinks. One term might be more prevalent in a specific geographic region, which is fine if you are selling locally, but if you are selling globally, optimizing for a single popular term could be problematic. Consider optimizing different portions of your website for various keywords and phrases that relate to the product or service that you are promoting.

More information on Determining Keywords - http://www.small-business-software.net/determining-keywords.htm

Provide Valuable Content.

Websites linking to a website are seen by many search engines as “votes”. A link typically implies quality content. The easiest and most effective way to achieve a large number of links is to provide unique quality content. This might be a free web based tool, information or other content that is unique and relevant.

Examples of free valuable content:

Website RSS Button Creator - http://www.feedforall.com/public/rss-graphic-tool.htm

Reprint Articles - http://www.small-business-software.net/free-website-content.htm
Monitor.

Monitor blogs for online chatter about your product or service. If you find a product review or question on a blog consider posting a comment. Ego searches are an excellent way to stay informed and maintain a strategic advantage over competitors. Monitor keywords or phrases that relate to your product or service, and join conversations that are relevant.

More on Ego Searches - http://www.feedforall.com/ego-searches.htm

Measure.

In order to know what strategies are most effective in an industry or sector, it is important to track the results. The easiest way to track web traffic and conversions is web logs. Take a critical look at referrers, trends, and what keywords result in the most traffic. Evaluating web logs will assist a webmaster in determining what optimization techniques are most effective.

Understanding Web Logs - http://www.small-business-software.net/understanding-web-logs.htm

Ultimately its is foolish to attempt to trick search engines into high rankings, efforts are better spent on building quality, consistent, valuable, content.
