How To Monetize Your Traffic For Your Optimal Results

by Kathleen | MarginsXs.com |MarginsXs Ebooks

Establishing your own E-commerce site is not like what it used to be. There are thousands of competitors   that are all too willing to get a bigger share of the pie. Every scheme and method you can find to augment your sales would be very beneficial.

We have got to admit to ourselves. Most of us are into it for the money. We are not going to waste our time and effort just for the fun of it. Many sites would not wait until hell freezes over just to see their profits. While some folks may make lightly of things,  there are always those who would rather see profit any given day.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers, you don’t get sales. Traffic represents all the people that have a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more people there are to potentially buy them.

Nobody puts up an E-commerce site that doesn’t expect/hope for a profit. We have a startup capital that needs to be regained. With a consistent traffic, we at least have a fighting chance to achieve that probability. Monetizing your traffic would optimize your chances of making the best out of it.

Making Money out of your Traffic

The best and most proven method of making a profit out of your traffic is using advertising. The internet generates hundreds of thousands upon hundreds of thousands of traffic every day. Most of them are searching for something. While some are just looking for information there is also a good percentage that is looking for something that they need.

The internet has proven to be a very reliable source in finding what was deemed to be a very unsearchable product. The internet has made the world a smaller place; you can advertise a product from the depths of Istanbul and still find a buyer from the center of Philadelphia.

Generating traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully this could open up a Pandora’s Box of possibilities. One of the benefits is monetizing your traffic flow.

So, to get to the point of all of this, the more traffic you generate the more likely you are considered as a desirable. Desirable in the sense that a good traffic flowing site is an easily convert to profit.  Advertising is the name of the game; with a good advertising scheme you can use your traffic flow to your advantage.

Pay-Per-Click

When you have good traffic you have a good number of potential customers, customers that are willing to pour money into your coffers. Other than that there is also traffic that can be redirected to sponsored links that are willing to pay you for a sizeable portion of the traffic that you have generated.

This scheme is called “pay-per-click”. With every click a visitor of your site makes on an advertised link you will be paid. The more traffic you generate and the more clicks that are generated, and this  spells out  to more profits.

Affiliate Programs

Another method of monetizing your traffic are affiliate programs. You can link up with other tried and tested sites and online companies and monetize your traffic by having a percentage of sales generated by traffic coming from your site.

The basic idea is that traffic generated from your site will go to another site that can offer a product that you do not carry. Many programs can keep track and make records of transactions that was made possible because of site linkage.

When purchases are made by customers that were led by your site to their site you get a percentage of that sale. Affiliate programs would give you the benefit of monetizing your traffic without the actual need of carrying or promoting a certain product.

There are so many ways and methods to monetize your traffic. All it takes is a bit of hard work and the desire to successfully launch a profit-earning site. The internet is a veritable source of information, many tips and guides are offered everywhere in how to monetize your traffic and make your site a good profit earner.

by: Kathleen | MarginsXs Ebooks

The internet is a vital part of anyone’s business plan, and by utilizing the top 101 marketing strategies you are sure to increase your business. While traditional marketing is still important, online marketing has been increasing in popularity.

Therefore, the playing field has become much more competitive. If you are looking to level the playing field a bit to give yourself a chance to compete, then it is crucial for you to make use of the top 101 marketing strategies. Using these marketing strategies aggressively will without question improve your business.

There are several different methods of marketing to choose from. For example, there are some short term strategies out there that can bring you some quick results. While these strategies may be able to give you quick bursts of traffic to your site, they may not be able to do much else.

These methods are primarily short term methods that will only give you temporary results. These short term methods usually include: bulletin boards, ads, and some search engine optimization techniques.

There are also plenty of long term methods included in the top 101 marketing strategies that you should consider. These marketing techniques will usually take a bit of work and will take some time before you really see any results. They are definitely worth pursuing though as you will find that the results you receive by this method will be much longer lasting and potent.

These long term strategies are designed to bring a steady flow of traffic to your site over a long period of time. The only draw back to these methods is that they take a much longer period of time to enact than do the short term strategies. These long term methods include: article marketing, press release marketing, and opt-in mailings.

When looking at the many options available for both short term and long term marketing strategies, you will find that both free and paid options are available. The free marketing strategies will no doubt be the first to catch your eye, and there are some great ones out there, but keep in mind that the free strategies will take quite a bit of time to bring into fruition. They will also require quite a bit of work on your behalf as well, this is why paid marketing techniques are often recommended. Paid marketing techniques will get you the quickest results and you will not have to do a lot of work yourself.

If you are looking for the best results, it doesn’t hurt to put both short term and long term marketing techniques to your disposal. All of the available marketing strategies can help you out by increasing your business and web traffic; so make use of each of them. There is some strong competition out there, but if you work at it, you are sure to succeed.

If you are ready to get your site in the top search engine results and have your email filled with customer orders, then it is time to put the top 101 marketing techniques to work for you.

5 Ways To Keep Visitors Coming Back

A lot of successful websites depend on returning visitors to account for a major part of their traffic. Returning visitors are easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The credibility issue just melts away.

Hence, keep your visitors coming back to your site with the following methods:

1) Start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox When you start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox, you are providing your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with their peers — all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every day.

2) Start a web log (blog) Keep an online journal, or more commonly known as a blog, on your site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to the monitor if you post fresh news frequently. You will also build up your credibility as you are proving to them that there is also a real life person behind the website.

3) Carry out polls or surveys Polls and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should definitely consider adding to your site. They provide a quick way for visitors to voice their opinions and to get involved in your website. Be sure to publish polls or surveys that are strongly relevant to the target market of your website to keep them interested to find out about the results.

4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games Just imagine how many office workers procrastinate at work every day, and you will be able to gauge how many people will keep visiting your site if you provide a very interesting or addicting way of entertainment. You can also hold competitions to award the high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the prize.

5) Update frequently with fresh content Update your site frequently with fresh content so that every time your visitors come back, they will have something to read on your site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to browse a site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your site updated with fresh bites!
